What does KS2 SATs arithmetic cover?

The arithmetic paper tests written and mental calculation with whole numbers, decimals, fractions and percentages. This practice includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, order of operations, fraction calculations and missing-number problems.

Paper method: answer the questions you can do first, flag harder ones by leaving them blank, then return using the numbered grid. Long multiplication and long division questions are worth two marks in this practice.

How to use the results

Open each worked solution, find the first step that went wrong and practise that method separately. A fresh paper uses different values, so learners practise the skill instead of remembering an answer.
