Multiplication Tables Check drill
Build fast, accurate recall with a realistic 25-question check or a calm untimed warm-up. No sign-up and no calculator.
How this MTC practice works
The official check is an onscreen assessment of 25 multiplication questions. In timed mode, each question allows six seconds. Use warm-up mode first if the timer causes anxiety, then move to the full check when recall feels secure.
Good practice: type only the number, keep both hands ready and answer from memory. After the drill, revise the tables listed under “Needs practice”, then try a fresh set.
Which tables should Year 4 pupils know?
By the end of Year 4, pupils should recall multiplication and division facts for tables up to 12 × 12. The MTC checks multiplication recall, while confident division facts help secure the same number relationships.
